Cheryl got this swing set for her birthday.
They both had red coats, so the Umphry’s across the street called them the “little red birds”, because they would sit in their porch and watch them playing in our front yard.
Notice Fentons house on the right in the background and Grandpa Grover’s house.
Fenton’s house is still there but been built on and remodeled after the flood of 1976. Grandpa Grover’s was torn down after the flood.
I hated that old ugly fence. It was between our yard and what was suppose to be a garage for the house. It was a ricky old building, Dad used for his tools.

I remember that fence, I really liked it, because of the criss-cross slats. It wasn’t like a regular fence you saw everywhere else, and it was really tall. If you could get up on top of it, you could straddle it and look down on both sides.

Grovers bought the old Fenton house and rented it. They painted it Pink and we called it the “pink house” It was torn down after the flood. The house that stands there now is different house.
